On 8 July 2023, another MotherSchools Zanzibar cohort graduated, with 96 mothers celebrating their achievements and dedication to safeguarding their families and communities from violence and toxic ideologies. The class of 2023 represents the fifth round of MotherSchools Zanzibar within a multi-country project supported by the L’Oréal Fund for Women. Working with our local partner, ZAYEDESA, this iteration saw five groups across Zanzibar meet each week. Each of the graduates completed approximately 40 hours of training in PVE (preventing violent extremism), childhood development, security, peacebuilding, and communications.
