The Reverse Flow of Foreign Terrorist Fighters (FTFs): Challenges for the OSCE Area and Beyond

Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer organises and leads ‘The Role of Families and Communities in Prevention and Rehabilitation: Gender-Sensitive Approaches as Sustainable and Innovative Strategies’ side event at the 2018 OSCE-wide Counterterrorism Conference in Rome. The two-day conference allows for discussion on good practices on addressing current challenges and issues and developing effective policy to prevent VERLT and counterterrorism in full compliance with human rights, with a special focus on addressing new threats posed by returning/relocating FTFs and their affiliates. This conference aims to foster regional and international co-operation on these matters.
