Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer spoke with Womenetics in February 2012 on the importance of embracing women as agents of change and reconciliation in global conflicts. Her message, on behalf of WwB, is clear: ‘When we look around the globe, [we see that] so many conflicts are driven by ethnic, political, or religious divisions, and women have the courage to directly interact with the other side: from woman to woman; from person to person. The key message of the women’s movement was, “The personal is political”. We have to start at this personal level’.
