Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer speaks with Tina Brown during the Women in the World Salon in Chicago in June 2015. Dr. Schlaffer draws attention to the fact that women are a powerful weapon and a largely untapped resource in the fight against violent extremism. She discusses what mothers can do to address youth recruitment and radicalisation across a broad cultural spectrum, and how WwB’s ‘MotherSchools: Parenting for Peace’ Model is proving to be an effective bottom-up security strategy.
