‘AfPak: 10 Years Since Operation Enduring Freedom’ Conference

Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer speaks about the role civil society must play in effective efforts to prevent violent extremism (PVE) at the ‘AfPak: 10 Years Since Operation Enduring Freedom’ conference, which is co-sponsored by the Asia-Pacific Foundation and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. The conference gathers diplomatic, governmental, defence, and policy officials, as well as media analysts with advanced knowledge on security, intelligence, geo-political and defence related issues in relation to Afghanistan and Pakistan. The conference aims to assess the ramifications that events in Afghanistan and Pakistan have for the region and the wider world.
