Transitioning from Victimhood to Agents of Change

Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer advocates for greater civil society inclusion in preventing violent extremism (PVE) strategies, presents the best practice model ‘MotherSchools: Parenting for Peace’, and shows the WwB feature film ‘Your Mother’, which captures the responses of mothers whose children have been radicalised at the Radicalisation Awareness Network’s Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism (RAN VVT) meeting in Rome. The event focuses on the role of social media and other online tools as amplifiers of the voices of those affected and concerned by violent extremism.
