Sport for Development and Peace

Women without Borders (WwB) and others members of the Sport for Development and Peace International Working Group share their best practices in using sports to achieve Millennium Development Goals. The meeting specifically focuses on the role of sports in promoting gender equality, combating HIV/AIDS, and encouraging cultural dialogue, as well as on the policy-level with the UN Secretariat and the Bureau. Members offer suggestions with regards to the key policy issues at hand for the International Working Group on Sport for Development and Peace.
