On 13 August 2022, another MotherSchools Bangladesh cohort graduated, with 120 mothers celebrating their achievements and dedication to safeguarding their families and communities from violence and toxic ideologies. This 2022 iteration in Bangladesh is part of a multi-country project supported by the U.S. Department of State. With the support of our local partner, Manusher Jonno Foundation, five groups of mothers convened throughout Dhaka North and Dhaka South. Each of the graduates completed approximately 40 hours of training in PVE (preventing violent extremism), childhood development, security, peacebuilding, and communications.

“Don’t forget: your authority as a mother is based on the respect you command for yourself! You can be an anchor for your children only when you believe in yourself.”
– Laura Kropiunigg, Executive Director of Women without Borders, on the occasion of the MotherSchools Bangladesh 2022 Graduation
