Somalia is often perceived by the international community as a ‘failed state’. Yet activists such as Hanan Ibrahim MBE refuse to lose hope and are dedicating their lives to restore stability and peace in their country.

Women without Borders (WwB) invited Hanan Ibrahim to speak at the Amerika Haus in Vienna on 6 December 2011. Hanan represents an agent of positive change as part of WwB’s growing network of Sisters Against Violent Extremism (SAVE Network), and as a SAVE Somalia Chapter Leader.
