‘Women and Youth in India and Pakistan Against Violent Extremism’ was an event organised on 22 November 2011 by Women without Borders (WwB) in collaboration with the universities of Mumbai and Islamabad to facilitate a dialogue between Indian and Pakistani youth. The young leaders of each country were brought together to discuss issues that are created by competing nationhood narratives. The cultural dialogue event sought to contribute to bridging longstanding political divides between these two countries, and to create a more stable future for the region. The participants represent agents for positive change as part of WwB’s growing network of Sisters Against Violent Extremism (SAVE network).
