In order to challenge traditional perceptions of fatherhood and Islam and encourage a more fair share of childrearing among parents, Women without Borders (WwB) premiered its ‘Fatherly Love, Muslim Style’ film in Vienna on 29 May 2013. The film, which was created through an action-oriented research project that focused on fathers with a migrant background in Vienna and Linz, Austria, was followed by a panel discussion on the role fathers can play in their children’s lives and romantic partnerships.
