A round of applause! On 10 November, 65 women graduated from our programme, Women Know How: Ending Gender-Based Violence, in which women come together to break down the taboo of all forms of gender-based violence (GBV). Through building a safe space and trusting network where women can start to tell their own story and break the social stigma around GBV, we hope to support individuals to bring violence out of the private sphere. Together with our local partner organisation Jahjaga Foundation and with the support of the Austrian Ministry of Social Affairs, we were able to organise a wonderful graduation ceremony in Kosovo.

In the words of our Chair and Founder, Edit Schlaffer: ‘Gender-based violence is systemic for the women experiencing it with alarming consequences – for the survivors, their children, the community…as the trailblazers of the Women Know How project in Kosovo you are pioneers and part of the Women without Borders network.’
