The Last Ambassador film screening

Women without Borders co-hosted a film screening of The Last Ambassador, a documentary film that follows the courageous journey of Ambassador Manizha Bakhtari, the Afghan Ambassador to Austria at the time when the Taliban seized power. Rather than conceding to power, the film documents her journey as she decides to stand up to the Taliban and represent the people of Afghanistan, rather than a draconian regime, fighting for the rights of Afghanistan’s women and girls. The film screening and panel discussion was hosted in partnership with the Bruno Kreisky Forum, International Gender Champions, and Solidaritätsgruppe Afghanistan.
