Roundtable on Regional Best-Practices for P/CVE in the Western Balkans

Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer participates in a virtual roundtable promoting regional best-practices for addressing gender equality in P/CVE interventions in the Western Balkans. The event was organised by USAID’s Planning and Local Governance Project (PLGP), in collaboration with the Albanian Coordination Center for CVE and brought together representatives of both local and national governments, municipal Gender Equality Officers, and members of the donor community as an opportunity to showcase two successful interventions from within the Western Balkans.

Dr. Schlaffer presented WwB’s work in North Macedonia since 2016 through the MotherSchools as a best-practice initiative in the region. Joining Dr. Schlaffer to deliver remarks and testimonials were WwB’s local implementing partner in North Macedonia, ZIP Institute (project manager Nazije Iseni Kurtishi) and MotherSchools Teacher Sabina Smailovic.
