Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer presents WwB’s work to engage women in efforts to prevent violent extremism (PVE) at the United Nations Security Council Counter Terrorism Committee special meeting with international, regional and subregional organisations on the theme ‘Prevention of Terrorism’ in Strasbourg. The special meeting’s overall objective is to provide an opportunity for the Counter Terrorism Committee (CTC), the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) and international, regional and subregional organisations to hold open and in-depth discussions about the preventative aspects of Security Council resolutions 1373 (2001), 1624 (2005) and 1963 (2010) and of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
