On 26 March 2023, another MotherSchools India cohort graduated, with 71 mothers celebrating their achievements and dedication to safeguarding the next generation and building a safer global community for all of us. The class of 2023 represents the third and final round of MotherSchools India within a multi-country project supported by the L’Oréal Fund for Women. Working with our local partner, Fourth Wave Foundation, this iteration took place in Kerala with five groups meeting in Edanad, Kumbalangi, Trivandrum, Vengoor, and Vimalagiri. Each of the graduates completed approximately 40 hours of training in PVE (preventing violent extremism), childhood development, security, peacebuilding, and communications.

“This is the starting point to create a space of harmony and understanding in your home, and to anchor, guide, and protect your children. Indeed, you are changing your immediate surroundings by investing in yourself and your children and you are of course the first teacher in the lives of your children—their moral compass, and their lighthouse in troubled times.”
– Michelle Farrand, Project Manager at Women without Borders, on the occasion of the MotherSchools India 2023 Graduation
