On 2 April 2023, another MotherSchools Bangladesh cohort graduated, with 113 mothers celebrating their achievements and dedication to safeguarding the next generation and building a safer global community for all of us. The class of 2023 represents the third and final round of MotherSchools Bangladesh within a multi-country project supported by the L’Oréal Fund for Women. Working with our local partner, Manusher Jonno Foundation, this iteration took place in Dhaka with five groups meeting in wards across the city. Each of the graduates completed approximately 40 hours of training in PVE (preventing violent extremism), childhood development, security, peacebuilding, and communications.

“Women hold up half the sky and are the pillars of a resilient and peaceful society. Make sure you enlist other mothers, women, men, community stakeholders, and fathers of course, to join you in building a community of mutual respect and tolerance. For you are raising the next generation of peacebuilders – you are their role models!”
– Maria Ory, Senior Project Manager at Women without Borders, on the occasion of the MotherSchools Bangladesh 2023 Graduation
