2015 Women in the World Summit London

Women without Borders (WwB) Founder and Executive Director Dr. Edit Schlaffer presents the ‘MotherSchools: Parenting for Peace’ Model and advocates for further inclusion of women and civil society as a whole in preventing violent extremism (PVE) efforts at the Women in the World Summit in London. Dr. Schlaffer also participates in a discussion entitled ‘Women fighting Terror’ with Saliha Ben Ali, a mother whose son was recruited by extremists and eventually died fighting in Syria, to break the silence and taboo around violent extremism and the effects it has on families, and mothers in particular.
