FatherSchools Parenting for Peace in Kiswandui and Mbadala

Between 2023 and 2024, WwB implemented its ‘FatherSchools: Parenting for Peace’ Model in Zanzibar for the first time, with its long-standing local partner ZAYEDESA. The programme in Zanzibar, which is supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection, saw two groups convene in Kiswandui and Mbadala. This impact report offers an overview of the FatherSchools project in Zanzibar, introduces WwB’s impact model, and presents the impact findings based on quantitative and qualitative data from the perspectives of project stakeholders, including Participants, Teachers, and Notetakers.

The pilot Roll-out of the FatherSchools Zanzibar Parenting for Peace programme was implemented by Women without Borders and its local partner ZAYEDESA from 2023-2024. This project was made possible through the generous support from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection.
