This WwB Open House Talks centres on the topic ‘Holocaust in Memoir and Memory’. Eva Beresin–in conversation with Edit Schlaffer–presents her mother’s early postwar diary in the days and months following her journey out of Auschwitz and into an at the time still uncertain future. Beresin’s ‘Ninety-Eight Pages’ includes some of her mother’s photography from the early 1940s, ahead of her deportation from Hungary. Using the photographs as a basis for her art, a number of Beresin’s paintings are also included in this publication.
