Engaging Communities in Approaches to Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and Incitement in Asia

Women without Borders (WwB) participates in the UN Women and UN CTED’s ‘Engagement of Communities in Approaches to Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and Incitement in Asia’ regional workshop series in Bangkok, Thailand. The aim of the regional workshop is to share experiences and good practices in identifying and understanding extremist narratives and preventing violent extremism (PVE), with an emphasis on community-based and gender-sensitive approaches and strategies, to be implemented both online and offline. The workshops brings together representatives of governments, local communities, civil society, academia, and other sectors with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding of needs, strategies, and principles of whole-of-society engagement, and strengthening regional and national information-exchange networks in PVE.
