The Role of Families in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism

Women without Borders (WwB) presents its ‘MotherSchools: Parenting for Peace’ Model at Hedayah’s ‘The Role of Families in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism’ expert workshop in Abu Dhabi. Speakers and participants present tools and initiatives used in their countries to empower families in preventing violent extremism (PVE), showcase good practices and lessons learned, and take part in a practical exercise to design programmes to support families in their prevention roles. Panel topics are centred around the role of cultural identities and how they influence resistance to violent extremism.
