Despite significant strides in gender equality over the years, the Covid-19 pandemic brought to light a concerning surge in gender-based, domestic, and sexual violence, amplifying existing disparities. WwB‘s response? Design a prevention and intervention project, contextualising issues like domestic violence, violent extremism, and crises such as Covid-19 within the gender dimension of the pandemic. Our Women Know How mission: Impart knowledge, foster determination, and strive for gender equality, empowering all women and girls.

Women Know How focuses on knowledge transfer, exchange of experiences, and practical exercises based on storytelling methods. By sharing stories, the aim is to strengthen the women’s sense of identity through greater self-confidence, independence, and predictability.

Reflecting on the impact of ‘Women Know How!’ | Though our first proactive prevention project has concluded, the conversation around breaking the cycle of violence against women continues. We appreciate the collective efforts from all involved to reshape the narrative. Let’s continue championing prevention and supporting lasting change together. Stay tuned and follow us for more projects that address gender-based violence.

Thank you for the support of the Austrian Ministry of Social Affairs.
