This WwB Open House Talks, entitled ‘How safe are women around the globe?’ brings together Diana Joseph and Billy Batware in a conversation on the safety challenges women are facing in today’s world, from domestic violence and violence extremism to human and drug trafficking. Recent women-led protests in India, Venezuela, Lebanon, and beyond illustrate that civil society and female coalitions are the heartbeat needed for change. Diana and Billy discuss the importance of building a female-led security architecture as a strong force in violence prevention efforts.
