On 20 August, the second MotherSchools Bangladesh cohort of 2022 graduated, with 120 mothers celebrating their achievements and dedication to strengthening open dialogue and communication to ensure peace in their families and communities. This 2022 iteration in Bangladesh is part of a three-year multi-country project supported by the L’Oréal Fund for Women. With the support of our local partner, Manusher Jonno Foundation, five groups of mothers convened throughout Dhaka North and Dhaka South. Each of the graduates completed approximately 40 hours of training in PVE (preventing violent extremism), childhood development, security, peacebuilding, and communications.

“You, the mothers, joined the MotherSchools with a curious mind, with an open heart to explore how to create the best and safest environment for your children and families to grow in healthy and happy surroundings.”
– Laura Kropiunigg, Executive Director of Women without Borders, on the occasion of the MotherSchools Bangladesh 2022 Graduation
